Meet our new logo

From looking up at the sky to rain you can read at a glance

The updated Precip logo: three falling raindrops next to the Precip wordmark in blue.
Key takeaways
  • The old mark was a circle of droplets, like looking up while rain fell all around you — distinctive, but too abstract at small sizes.
  • The new mark is three falling raindrops: more literal, clearer on a home screen, and still unmistakably Precip.
  • Precip Blue stays the same. Press and partner assets live on our brand guidelines page.

A clearer rainstorm

If you’ve opened the app or website lately, you may have noticed something different in the corner.

Our old mark was a circle of rain droplets — the view from below, looking up at the sky while rain fell all around you. We loved the idea. In practice it read more like a pinwheel or a sunburst than rain, especially at favicon and home-screen size.

Before and after: the old circular abstract rain mark next to the new three falling raindrops app icon.

The new mark is more literal: three raindrops, angled the way rain actually falls. Same weather, less explaining.

A nod for the people who know

Real raindrops in free fall aren’t the cartoon teardrops we all draw as kids. Aerodynamics flatten the bottom. The icon still uses the shape everyone recognizes as rain — because it has to read instantly on a home screen. Look closer at the wordmark, though: the dot on the i is a tiny real raindrop, flattened bottom and all. A quiet thank-you to anyone who’s ever cared enough to check.

What stayed the same

This isn’t a rebrand. We’re still Precip. The blue is still Precip Blue (#155EEF). The wordmark is still the same name you’ve always known. We simplified the mark and refreshed the lockups, avatars, and favicons so everything reads clearly from a phone home screen to a press kit.

Where to get the files

If you write about us, embed our data, or put Precip on a slide deck, grab the latest assets from our brand guidelines page — SVGs and PNGs for the lockup, mark, social avatar, and “Powered by Precip” badges, plus simple do’s and don’ts.

Thanks for sticking with us as we keep measuring the rain — and looking a little sharper while we do it.
